The Emory University Track and Field teams travel north to New York, NY for the 2020 University Athletic Association Indoor Championships. The two-day championship meet will be held Saturday, February 29th and Sunday, March 1st at the historic Armory Track and Field Center near the campus of New York University.

The Eagles return three All-UAA performers on the women's side and enter the meet with a combined 17 times or marks that rank inside the top-10 in the conference individually. Junior Rebekah Bondi is in position to contend for a UAA title in three different events. She comes into the competition with the top 60m Dash seed time at 7.73, while also landing in fifth and sixth in the conference in the 200m Dash and the long jump, respectively. Hannah Lansberry placed in second in the 800m Run in the UAA Championships a year ago, and currently holds the eighth-fastest 800m mark in the conference with a 59.45. Also making her return to the UAA Championship field in the Shot Put is dual-sport athlete, Greta Wilker. Wilker broke an Emory record in the Shot Put the last time she participated in a meet, which was back in early December, and took third at the UAA Indoor Championships last season. Her Emory record did not last long, as junior Laura Sheckter upped the ante with a toss of her own just a few weeks later. Sheckter's throw of 13.51m is the best mark out of UAA competitors so far this year and Wilker's 12.47m is third on the UAA performance list. Additionally, Senior Isabel Saridakis sports a pole vault mark of 3.75m that slots her as the third-seed in the event.

For the men, 2019 All-UAA sprinter Liam Fost seeks to repeat as the conference 400m Dash champion. The junior brings a season-best time of 49.44 into the meet, which is the fourth-fastest mark in the UAA this year. Behind Fost, the Eagles carry eight marks that rank inside the top-10 efforts produced by UAA athletes. Freshman Wheeler Wilson hopes to make his mark in his first UAA Indoor Championships. His shot put distance of 15.04m, recorded in early December, stands as an Emory record and is the second-best throw in the conference to date. Fellow freshman Patrick Osborne also hopes to find his way on the podium in his first season of collegiate competition. Osborne enters the competition with a season-best pole vault height of 4.25m, which makes him the No. 3 seed in the event.

Competition begins at 5:00 p.m. EST on Saturday with the women's weight throw, the women's 60m hurdle trials, and the men's long jump. The championships wrap up with the men's 4x400m Relay at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Fans can follow the action from New York with the links provided above.
