Jackson Price and Henry Brandstadter Named UAA Athletes of the Week

Emory University Track and Field student-athletes Jackson Price and Henry Brandstadter have been named UAA Athletes of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

Brandstadter, coming off setting the program record in the long jump last month, had another historic day this time winning the high jump event at the Emory CrossPlex Showdown by reaching a height of 2.00m. Brandstadter's height of 2.00m stands as the eighth best mark in the country to this point in the season.

Price continues to cement himself in the record books this time breaking a 13-year old program record in the 200m dash at the Emory CrossPlex Showdown. Price crossed the finish line in a time of 21.99 seconds to beat the previous school record set back in 2010 by .02 seconds. Price's time of 21.99 seconds stands as the tenth fastest time in the country and the fastest in the conference to this point in the season according to TFRRS.

This is Price's fourth time being named Athlete of the Week, his second for the indoor season. This is also Brandstadter's second time being awarded the Athlete of the Week honor.

Track and Field is back in action in the Carolina Challenge starting this Friday.
