Sophomore John Cox was the top performer for the Emory men's cross country team at the Bobcat Invitational.

Cox was the first Eagle to cross the finish line and 27th overall out of 162 runners, clocking a personal-best 8K time of 26:18. It represented the first time in his young career that he ranked as the Eagles' top runner in a meet.

John's effort helped Emory to a seventh-place finish out of 18 teams.
