Junior Luis Torres was the top performer for the Emory men's cross country team at the JSU Foothills Invitational held in Oxford, AL.
Running a 7K race, Torres was the first Eagle to cross the finish line and sixth overall out of 176 entries with a time of 22:49. It was the first time he scored for Emory this season and the second time in his career that he was the squad's No. 1 runner.
Torres' effort helped the 21st-ranked Eagles to a second-place finish out of 20 teams.
