Senior Caitlin Fitzgerald hit a team-high .538 in helping the Eagles to a 2-2 mark in four games.  Fitzgerald recorded seven hits in 13 plate appearances and tied for the team lead with four RBIs as Emory split doubleheaders against Piedmont College and LaGrange College. 

Fitzgerald went 3-for-4 and scored a run in a 3-2 setback in the first game of a twinbill vs. Piedmont College before coming through with a pair of hits and three RBIs in a 10-3 win in the nightcap.  Fitzgerald accounted for all of her RBIs in that game with a bases-loaded clearing double that keyed a seven-run uprising in the eighth inning in a 10-3 victory.  She then went 1-for-2 in each game against LaGrange, also chipping in one sacrifice hit in each contest, and registered one RBI in a 4-3 second-game triumph. 

So far this season, Fitzgerald has started 39 of 40 games and is hitting at a .397 clip.  She is tied for the team lead with 10 doubles and is second with 32 RBIs.
