Emory freshman first baseman Ellen Kocoloski helped the Eagles
to a UAA Tournament championship, hitting a blistering .577 over
eight games. Kocoloski registered a team-high 15 hits in 26
trips to the plate in helping her team to a 6-2 mark and its first
conference title since 2003. She hit safely in seven contests
and chalked up six outings of multiple-hits. She socked a pair of
home runs and paced the club with 8 RBIs. In an 8-0 win over
Case Western (Mar. 11), she went 3-for-3 at the plate, with 2
homers, and totaled four RBIs. On the final day of action
(Mar. 14), she came through with two hits in games vs. Rochester
and Case Western and scored a total of three runs.
She has started all 20 games so far this year for the 12-8 Eagles
and is pacing the team in hitting with a .466 average.
