Senior Jessica Thomas helped the No. 7-ranked Emory softball team to 4-0 wins in its opening weekend of the regular season.  Thomas hit .500 with eight hits in 16 trips to the plate and drove in 10 runs as the Eagles posted two wins apiece over Maryville College and No. 3-ranked Christopher Newport.  She hit safely in all four contests including a 4-for-4 effort at the plate with 6 RBIs, including a grand slam in a 26-2 win over Maryville.
