Senior Micah Scharff played a key role in helping the No. 9-ranked Emory softball team to a pair of Saturday victories over Wesleyan College.

Scharff hit .833, collecting five hits in six trips to the plate, scored five runs and knocked in three runs as the Eagles boosted their overall record to 22-2.  Four of Scharff's hits were doubles. 

In a 4-0 opening-game win, Scharff doubled in the first inning and scored the game-winning run when Tara Fallahee socked a triple. Later in the contest, she scored the squad's second run after coming through with a two-bagger, and crossing the plate via a two-base hit by Hannah Sendel.  In a 14-2 triumph in the finale, Scharff came through with a 3-for-3 performance, scoring three runs and totaling three RBIs.  Her double in the bottom of the second fueled a four-run frame, and also drove in what proved to be the deciding run of the contest.  She then produced a two-run double during a nine-run uprising in the bottom of the fourth.  

So far this season, Scharff is hitting .404 (23-of-57) and has team-high 10 doubles.
