Ashley Powers

Ashley Powers

Sophomore Ashley Powers was one of the Eagles' most productive hitters over a four-game stretch that saw the team play doubleheaders at NCAA Division II member Shorter University and at Birmingham Southern.

Powers hit .417, collecting a team-high five hits in 12 plate appearances while also driving in a pair of runs. She hit safely in all four contests, boosting her hitting streak to seven games.  She went 2-for-4 with one RBI in the first game of a doubleheader vs. No. 14 Birmingham Southern and knocked in another Emory run in the nightcap with a two-out double.

Through games played April 10, Powers ranks third on the squad and ninth among UAA players in hitting with a .418 average.  She is tied for third on the squad with 41 base hits and third with 27 RBIs.
