Senior pitcher Brittany File figured in all three of the Emory softball team's three victories over the weekend at the season-opening 3n2 Elite Invite. 

File saw action in three contests, tossing 16 innings and finishing with an ERA of 0.88. She struckout 25 batters and issued five walks.

The highlight of her efforts came on Sunday in a 7-0 decision over Averett University in the finale of the Invite, where she tossed her third career seven-inning no hitter, striking out 14 foes which tied her third-highest career total.  Earlier in the day, she pocketed a save after hurling the final two innings and striking out two, preserving a 2-0 triumph over Rhodes College.  In the opening game of the year, File went all seven frames, allowing two earned runs, two hits and fanning nine in a 6-3 verdict over Rhodes. 

File has posted 65 career victories in the circle, good for the No. 2 spot on the program's all-time ladder.
