Junior shortstop Cassie Baca came through with a pair of big offensive performances in helping the Eagles to a doubleheader sweep of Wesleyan College.

Baca hit .667 with four safeties in six plate appearances over the two contests. In addition, she scored a pair of runs and totaled 4 RBIs.

In a five-inning, 12-1 triumph in the opener, Baca went 2-for-4 and scored once while driving in four runs. She recorded what proved to be the GWRBI when she stroked a two-run single in the bottom of the third, pushing the Eagles to a 3-1 edge, and delivered another two-run single the following frame as part of a seven-run explosion. In the nightcap, a 2-1 Emory win, Baca went 2-for-2 and scored the deciding run in the top of seventh, scoring on a sacrifice fly after leading off the frame with a triple.

On the year, Baca is hitting .313 with a team-high 15 hits in 48 plate appearances. She is second on the squad with eight RBIs.
