Emory University placed 88 student-athletes on the University Athletic Association Spring All-Academic Team which was released Tuesday morning by the league office. 601 student-athletes in total from the eight association schools were recognized on the All-Academic team.

Emory University senior Sarah Katz (Lake Charles, LA) has been selected as the UAA Softball Hitter of the Week for her performance in the Eagles' Sunday doubleheader against No. 15 Birmingham-Southern College. It is the first time that the second baseman has selected for the honor in her career.

The second-ranked Eagles topped the Panthers, 8-4, in the opener before BSC bounced back to capture a 12-10 victory in the nightcap thriller that needed an extra inning to be settled.
