The Emory softball team saw its final day of competition at the Leadoff Classic cut short on Sunday. 

With its game against Linfield in a rain delay, the city of Tucson cancelled games on all eight fields for the remainder of the day, due to concerns over field conditions and in the interest of player safety.

The Eagles, 6-4 on the year, will remain in Tucson and play a pair of games on Tuesday (Mar. 10), a noon (EDT) date against defending D-III national champion Texas Lutheran followed by a game against Dickinson.
