Ashley Oldshue

Ashley Oldshue

Sophomore Ashley Oldshue ranked as the team's No. 2 scorer and top rebounder in UAA road games at Washington University and the University of Chicago.

The 6-foot-2 Oldshue averaged 15.5 points and 6.0 rebounds over the two contests.  In addition, she connected on 68.8 (11 of 16) from the floor and was successful on all nine of her free throw opportunities.

In a tough 82-78 setback to No. 9 Wash U, Oldshue totaled 18 points, second high on the squad, hitting six-of-eight field goal attempts and all six of her free throw tries.  In addition,  she accounted for three of the team's seven steals. She closed out the weekend with a 13-point, team-high eight rebounds against Chicago. She was successful on five field goals in eight attempts, and her three makes at the stripe enabled her to establish a school season record with 100 free throws, bettering the previous standard of 98 held by Beth Bergmann (2004-05).  It represented Ashley's 19th straight and 21st game this year of double-figure scoring.

A starter in all 22 Emory games, Oldshue tops the team and ranks fifth in the UAA in scoring average (16.3 ppg). Her 56.3 percent (129 of 229) from the field paces the squad and is fourth on the league ladder.
