Azzairia Jackson-Sherrod

Junior Azzairia Jackson-Sherrod came through with a pair of solid outings in helping the Emory women's basketball team to two UAA victories.

Jackson-Sherrod averaged 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks in contests against Carnegie Mellon and Case Western Reserve. Over those two affairs, she connected on 53.6 percent (15-28) of her field goal attempts.

In a 68-62 verdict over the Tartans of CMU, Jackson-Sherrod was second on the squad in scoring with 14 points, sinking seven-of-14 field goal attempts. She was the Eagles' No. 2 rebounder with nine boards and finished with three blocked shots. She followed that effort with a game-high 16 points, her eighth straight double-digit performance, converting eight field goals in 14 opportunities, and snatched six rebounds in a 64-47 triumph over Case Western. In addition, she blocked a career-high five shots, the high-water mark by an Emory player this season.

A starter in all 14 games, Jackson-Sherrod is second on the squad in both scoring (12.6 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg).
