Allison Chernow

Junior Allison Chernow played a key role in helping the Emory women's basketball team to road wins at Brandeis and New York University.

The 5-foot-6 Chernow averaged a team-high 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists over the two games, ending the weekend shooting 45 percent (9-of-20) from the floor, 41.7 percent (5-of-12) from three-point range and 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from the foul line.

In a 72-42 triumph over Brandeis, Chernow tied for game scoring honors with 15 points and six assists while ranking second on the squad with nine rebounds. She then posted 13 points, second high on the club, and doled out three assists in a 78-70 triumph over NYU. She hit three-of-four field goals, including both of her three-point attempts, and sank five free throws in six opportunities in notching her ninth straight and 13th double-figure scoring effort of the season.

Through games played Feb. 3, Chernow ranks ninth among UAA players in scoring average (13.0 ppg) and fifth in three-point percentage (.366, 41-of-112).
