Emory Women's Basketball Names Alexandra Berman Assistant Coach

Emory University head women's basketball coach Misha Jackson has announced the appointment of Alexandra Berman as assistant coach.  Berman will begin her duties on May 3.

Berman joins the program after spending the past three seasons as the lead assistant coach at the University of Massachusetts At Dartmouth.  The Corsairs won a total of 42 games during that stretch, with the 2018-19 squad posting an overall mark of 22-5 that included a Little East Conference regular-season championship.  Prior to her stint at UMASS-Dartmouth, Berman spent two campaigns at Mount Ida College (Mass.) where she served as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program.

"We are so excited that Alex will be joining our program," Jackson said. "Her background in strong Division III programs as a player and coach will greatly add to our culture. I am already so impressed with her eagerness and innovation. Alex will be a tremendous help in the continued national growth of our program."

Berman was a four-year member of the Wellesley College women's basketball team, playing in a total of 64 games during her career.

A 2016 Wellesley College graduate, Berman earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Education Studies.  She obtained her master's degree in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University in 2018.
