Alex Berman was named assistant coach for the Emory women's basketball program in April of 2021.

Berman joins the Eagles after spending the past three seasons as the lead assistant coach at the University of Massachusetts At Dartmouth.  The Corsairs won a total of 42 games during that stretch, with the 2018-19 squad posting an overall mark of 22-5 that included a Little East Conference regular-season championship.  Prior to her stint at UMASS-Dartmouth, Berman spent two campaigns at Mount Ida College (Mass.) where she served as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program.

Berman was a four-year member of the Wellesley College women's basketball team, playing in a total of 64 games during her career.

A 2016 Wellesley College graduate, Berman earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Education Studies.  She obtained her master's degree in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University in 2018.
