WGCA Top 25 Poll

The Emory University women's golf team will play its third match of the spring season this Sunday and Monday (Apr. 11-12) when it takes part at the MCC Women's Intercollegiate.  The 36-hole tourney will be played at the 5,821-yard, par-73 Montgomery Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama.

Emory garnered its first-ever national ranking by the Women's Golf Coaches Association when it was slotted 10th in the April 9 Top 25 D-III Poll. 

The Eagles will be one of 10 teams participating in this year's event with five other squads appearing in the WGCA Top 25 Poll – No. 2 Methodist, No. 3 Centre College, No. 4 Carnegie Mellon, No. 14 Rhodes, and No. 17 Berry.

The Eagles of Head Coach Katie Futcher are coming off a fourth-place finish out of eight teams at the Golfweek Invitational, posting a 54-hole score of 971.  Freshman Mariana Chong was recognized as the University Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week after pacing the Emory effort while tying for seventh overall out of 40 players with a mark of 238.
