The Emory women's golf team finished off third-round action at the NCAA D-III Championships on Thursday. The Championships are being held at the 5,818, par-72 Forest Akers West Course in East Lansing, Michigan.

Originally one of 25 teams originally competing, the Eagles of Head Coach Katie Futcher made the 54-hole cut and will be one of 15 squads taking part in Friday's final 18 holes.  Emory registered a score of 313 and stands at 978 for the Championships, good for a ninth-place tie.

Freshman Rebecca Schiffman turned in the squad's best score of the day with a three-over par 75, which saw her ring up three birdies.  Classmate Mariana Chong ended with a 78 while freshman Jessica Lan carded a 79.  Sophomore Ksheera Jalakam closed out the scoring efforts with an 81.  Sophomore Shriya Agarwal shot an 83.

For the tournament, Schiffman ranks as the Eagles top scorer with a 235 (80-80-75), good for a 15th-place tie out of the 110 players still competing.  Jalakam has compiled an effort of 245 (85-79-81) through three days, tying for 44th, while Chong posts a mark of 249 (92-79-78).  Lan (91-84-79) and Agarwal (88-83-83) each have shot 254.
