The Emory women's golf team concluded action at the NCAA D-III Championships on Friday.  The Championships were held at the 5,818, par-72 Forest Akers West Course in East Lansing, Michigan.

Emory registered a final-round score of 317 to finish with a 72-hole mark of 1295, good for seventh place out of the 15 teams that made the final cut from the 25 that started out.  Methodist University took home the top prize with an effort of 1231 (321-300-308-302) while Carnegie Mellon finished runner-up, five shots off the pace at 1236 (312-308-305-311). George Fox University finished third at 1239 (318-310-307-304).

Freshman Mariana Chong posted Emory's best score of the day with a six-over par 78.  Freshman Rebecca Schiffman and sophomore Ksheera Jalakam each shot 79 with Jalakam registering a team-leading four birdies during her round. Freshman Jessica Lan closed out the team's scoring with an 81.  Sophomore Shriya Agarwal ended her day with an 89.

For the tournament, Schiffman finished as the Eagles' top performer with her 314 (80-80-75-79), good for a 15th-place tie out of the 81 players who competed in the last round.  Jalakam tied for the No. 35 spot on the leader board at 324 (85-79-81-79) while Chong's showing of 327 (92-79-78-78) slotted her in a tie for 44th.  Lan shot a four-day score of 335 (91-84-79-81) and Agarwal a 343 (88-83-83-89) a 343.

Makensie Toole of George Fox played her way to medalist honors with a score of three-over par 291.
