Freshman Heejo Hyun shot a combined score of 141 on the 36-hole tournament to shoot 3 under par for the weekend at the MCC Intercollegiate. Hyun finished tied for third overall and led all Emory golfers to help lead the Eagles to a first place overall finish out of 13 teams. Hyun's score led Emory to a first place finish above numerous ranked opponents including No.1 Methodist University, No. 2 Carnegie Mellon, No. 6 Centre College, No. 8 Washington and Lee University and No. 10 University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. Hyun shot a score of 72 on day one and shot a score of 69 on day two on the par-72 course in Montgomery, Alabama.
