The Emory women's golf team mounted an impressive comeback to take home the tournament trophy at the Golfweek Invitational marking its third tournament victory of the semester. The 54-hole tournament is being played on the 5,603-yard, par-72 Baytowne course at the Sandestin Resort.

The No. 6 ranked Eagles, after trailing by two strokes going into the final round, finished the third round with a score of 296 which put their three-day total at 899 (306-297-296) and gave them the tournament win. It took Emory until the 16th hole in the final round to take their first lead of the tournament as three Eagle golfers hit birdies on the hole. No. 4 Centre finished the tournament in second carding a 901 (295-306-300) while No. 1 Carnegie Mellon rounded out the podium with a 902 (310-299-293).

Freshman Sharon Mun made a comeback of her own as she rallied back from three strokes down in the third round to end up with a score of 219 (77-69-73) and her first ever finish atop the leaderboard. Freshman Ellen Dong (73-75-75) was the model of consistency as she led the tournament in total pars with 40 which was good for a sixth-place tie. Sophomores Irene Wang (228) and Mariana Chong (229) each had an impressive third round carding a 75 and 73 to put them in 21st and 25th, respectively. Closing scoring for the Eagles was junior Shriya Agarwal who had her best round of the tournament in the third round and finished with a score of 254 (84-89-81).

This was the Eagles last tournament of the fall and will return to action in the spring semester.
