Women’s Golf Places Three on All-UAA Team

The Emory University women's golf team saw three Eagles chosen for the All-University Athletic Association Team as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.

Junior Sharon Mun was chosen as an All-UAA First Team representative for the third consecutive season while freshman standouts Carys Code and Esther Jung saw selections to the All-UAA Second Team.

Mun has established herself as a standout for the Eagles competing in 19 rounds this season while posting a 74.6 average round score. She has turned in a pair of top-five showings this season while taking home the title at the inaugural Deb Jackson Invitational. During the second round, she turned in a season-low 68 which ties the team's lowest round score this season.

Code has become an effective member of the team during her rookie season competing in 13 rounds of competition. Through five events, Code is averaging a round score of 76.5 and has seen two top-20 finishes this year. Her lowest round score of 71 came at the Deb Jackson Invitational in the first round as she finished 13th at the event with a 225 (+9).

Jung has also been a standout this season in her first year with the Eagles. She has competed in 20 rounds of competition across eight events this season and has had a top-five finish. She ranks third on the team with the lowest round score of 70 which she shot in the second round at the Lynn Schweizer Invitational last September.

The Eagles will begin competition at the NCAA Championships in Nicholasville, Kentucky on Tuesday, May 21.
