Shivani Beall Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Emory University senior Shivani Beall was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team for women's soccer as announced by the organization Thursday afternoon.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.

This marks Shivani's second consecutive appearance on the Academic All-District Team after earning the honor as a junior. This season, Beall is in the midst of her third double-digit scoring campaign as she enters the final weekend of the regular season with five goals and a team-leading six assists for 16 points.

For her career, Shivani ranks as the all-time leader in school history with 111 shots on goal, second with 209 shots attempted, 10th with 22 goals, and tied for 11th in both assists (20) and points (64). She currently owns a 3.95 grade point average as a Biology major with a minor is Sociology. Earlier this fall, she was named to her third UAA All-Academic Team and last season was selected to the UAA President's Scholar-Athlete Council.

Beall will now be placed on the national ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Teams. The Academic All-America teams for women's soccer will be announced on Tuesday, December 3rd.
