Women's Soccer Well-Represented on All-UAA Team; Robertson, Patberg & Staff Claim Yearly Awards

The Emory University women's soccer team was well represented on the All-University Athletic Association Team that was announced Thursday afternoon with five players earning All-Conference recognition.

Headlining the Eagles on the All-UAA Team was freshman Peyton Robertson who was billed as the UAA Rookie of the Year. Robertson added First Team kudos and was joined on the All-UAA First Team by seniors Shivani Beall and Haley Pratt. Junior Samantha Hilsee collected Second Team acclaim and senior Caroline Kolski was named as an Honorable Mention.

In addition, Head Coach Sue Patberg and her staff featuring Valorie O'Brien, Mike Wentzler and Catherine Whitehill were tabbed as the Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the team to a 5-2 UAA record and a second place finish in the league standings, the highest finish for the Eagles since 2013. It is the first time Patberg and her staff has earned the honor during her tenure with the program.

Robertson highlights the five Eagle selections as she becomes the fourth Rookie of the Year in team history and first since Beall won the award in 2016. Robertson has logged a team-leading 1,417 minutes so far, starting in all but one game, and has anchored a strong Emory defensive unit that has surrendered a total of 11 goals through 18 games and recorded nine shutouts. Robertson has also made her presence felt on the offensive end, scoring three goals and collecting two assists in her freshman campaign.

Beall earns her third All-UAA First Team selection after posting her third double-digit scoring campaign of her career. One of three Eagles to start in all 17 games so far, Beall leads the team with six assists to go along with five goals for 16 points. The Eagles are 6-1 this season when Beall nets at least one point.

Pratt joins Robertson and Beall and the First Team as she makes her first career All-Association Team. Pratt has excelled in the starting goalkeeper role this year for the Eagles, going 13-3 in 17 games while posting a UAA-best .871 save percentage and ranking second in the conference with a 0.52 goals-against average. 19 of her 54 saves came during UAA competition with her nine stops at Carnegie Mellon on October 20th registered as a new career-high, helping her collect the first of two UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week awards.

After earning First Team honors as a sophomore, Hilsee makes a return trip to the All-UAA Team with Second Team acclaim. In 16 games, Hilsee ranks tied for fourth on the team with eight points, scoring three goals and dishing out two assists. All three of her markers acted as game-winners in victories against Sewanee, Rhodes and NYU.

Kolski rounds out the All-UAA honorees for the Eagles as she collects her second Honorable Mention of her career. Kolski has been one of the top options on offense for the Eagles, tying her career-best with 13 points on five goals and three assists and is tied for the UAA lead with 67 shots. She tallied at least one point in three of the team's five conference wins and was tabbed as UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week on October 21st.
