The Emory University women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon against 19th-ranked Centre College in the tournament final in Danville, KY. Both teams move to 2-0-1 following the tie.

It was a defensive battle as neither side could get much going on offense throughout the 110 minutes of action. The Eagles finished the game with 16 shots with three being on goal while the Colonels had just six shots and one shot on goal.

Senior Lindsey Breskow paced Emory with four shots and was one of three players that registered a shot on target, along with classmate Molly Miller and sophomore Mia Han. For the Colonels, midfielder Elizabeth Nelson had four of the team's six chances including the lone shot on goal.

Senior Emma Platt made just one stop on the afternoon as she collected her first clean sheet of the season, making a save in the 56th minute.

During the overtime periods, the Eagles saw four chances miss wide by juniors Natalie Klar (3) and Kylie Hall (1) with Nelson registering the lone shot tally for Centre in the 95th minute.

The Eagles will return to action Saturday, September 11th to host Greensboro College in the first of three straight games at the Woodruff PE Center. Kickoff against the Pride is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
