Emory Women's Soccer Ties Rochester in Regular Season Finale

The No. 21 ranked Emory University women's soccer team played to a scoreless tie with the University of Rochester in the regular season finale Saturday afternoon at Fauver Stadium in Rochester, NY.

The tie marked the second straight scoreless draw for the Eagles as they finish the regular season with an 11-4-3 overall record and 2-3-2 in the University Athletic Association. The draw was the fifth for the Yellowjackets this year as they end with a 6-5-5 overall record and 0-3-4 in the conference.

Emory was held scoreless for the third consecutive contest despite putting up 22 shots with nine on goal on Saturday. Senior Lindsey Breskow recorded the most chances for any player in the game, tallying seven shots with four on target.

Senior Emma Platt and junior Emma Miller split time between the posts as they combined for three saves in the shutout. Rochester's Emma Schechter stopped all nine attempts that came her way.

The Eagles registered two chances in the extra periods with both coming in the first overtime period. However, both opportunities by senior Samantha Hilsee and junior Aubrey Blanchard were blocked by UR defenders.

Emory now awaits the NCAA selection show on Monday afternoon to see if it will receive an at-large bid to the postseason. Watch the bracket get unveiled at 1:00 PM EST on NCAA.com.
