Prior to Emory:
Was a two-year letterwinner for the Henry M. Jackson High School swimming team, serving as the team captain during her senior year... Helped her team win the state championship in 2009... Swam career-best times of 1:55.96 in the 200-yard freestyle and 5:01.83 in the 500-yard freestyle... Coached by Drew Whorley in high school... Coached on her club team by Tom Pardee, where she finished sixth at the state championships in the 500 free.
