On the strength of five more event conference championships, the Emory University Women's Swimming and Diving team has extended its UAA lead to over 350 points heading into the final day of competition.

With just Saturday remaining at the 2019 UAA Swimming and Diving Championships, the Eagles own a sizeable lead over the rest of the field with 1,342 total points, 356 points ahead of second place and host institution University of Chicago. Emory looks to clinch its 21^st straight UAA team title, 27^th overall, on Saturday with the women's 1-meter diving, 1,650 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly and 400 Freestyle Relay as the final events to be contested.

The Eagles brought their event championships total to 10 on Friday night with six more first place efforts. In addition, the team earned 13 All-UAA finishes on the evening to bring their two-day total to 21.

Senior Fiona Muir was one of four individual champions on Friday as she captured the 200 Freestyle crown in UAA Record setting time of 1:48.70. Classmates Julia Durmer and Ashley Daniels notched top honors as Durmer won the 400 IM at 4:19.66 and Daniels in the 100 Breaststroke at 1:03.04. Sophomore Bethany Seagraves registered the 100 Backstroke title, touching first with a finals mark of 55.96.

Seagraves and Daniels teamed with junior Maria Kyle and freshman Zoe Walker to win the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:42.53 and in the 800 Freestyle, Muir and Durmer partnered with senior Meg Taylor and junior Maria Turcanu to turn in a time of 7:27.54.

Adding All-UAA honors for the Eagles on Friday were freshman Clio Hancock in the 400 IM (2^nd, 4:20.52), sophomore Lucy Daro (2^nd, 56.14) and Kyle (3^rd, 56.15) in the 100 Butterfly, M. Taylor in the 200 Freestyle (2^nd, 1:50.80), Walker (2^nd, 1:03.80) and freshman Edie Bates (3^rd, 1:03.82) in the 100 Breaststroke and junior Caroline Olson in the 100 Backstroke (2^nd, 56.68).
