Trey Kolleck & Clio Hancock Earn UAA Swimmer of the Week Honors

Emory University swimmers Trey Kolleck and Clio Hancock swept the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week awards as awarded by the league office late Monday afternoon. The honor marks the fourth for Kolleck this season and the first in Hancock’s career.

Kolleck posted two NCAA B Cuts and swam on two top-three relays as the Eagles were topped by the University of Georgia on Saturday. Kolleck finished third in both the 50 and 100 Freestyles with NCAA qualifying marks of 20.60 and 45.30 and swam the final leg in both the 200 Free Relay (2nd, 1:23.16) and 200 Medley Relay (3rd, 1:31.67).

Hancock registered the lone NCAA B Cut at UGA on Saturday as she swam a 2:05.62 to finish third in the 200 Fly. Hancock added a time of 2:07.54 to place fourth in the 200 IM and was part of the Eagles’ C relay team that finished 6th in the 200 Medley at 1:49.67.

Emory swimmers will be back in the pool this weekend with the Auburn Invitational from February 8th to 10th.
