Emory University senior swimmers Trey Kolleck and Fiona Muir were named the University Athletic Association Swimmers of the Week for their performances at the Emory Invitational this past weekend. The weekly honor is Kolleck’s third award of the season while the kudo is Muir’s first of the year and sixth overall.

Kolleck led the Eagles to a win at their home invitational, taking first in both the 50 Freestyle (20.53 - NCAA B Cut) and 100 Freestyle (46.12) and swam the final leg in all four winning relay events: 200 FR (1:22.76), 400 MR (3:23.40), 200 MR (1:32.48) and 400 FR (3:04.69). Kolleck also competed in the 500 Freestyle, finishing 20th at 4:55.04.

Muir took first in the 100 Free (52.38), placed second in both the 50 Free (24.30) and 200 Free (1:55.40) and helped the Eagles win both the 200 Free (1:37.24) and 400 Medley (3:54.58) relays over the weekend, leading the Emory women to a first place finish at the invitational. Muir was also a member of the 3rd place 200 Medley Relay that touched at 1:49.38.

The Eagles return to the pool at the end of the month with the Denison and SCAD Invitationals from November 29th through December 1st.
