Senior (2013-14):

Clark capped off her Emory career with her second NCAA Division III Singles Championship, becoming just the fifth player in Division III Women’s Tennis history and the second in the program’s history to win multiple singles titles over a career.  Clark, the tournament’s top-seeded player, went 5-0 in the singles draw, winning each of her matches in straight sets, and defeating Amherst’s Jordan Brewer, the third-seeded player, 6-2, 6-1 to claim the title.  She won her final 20 singles decisions of the year, finishing the campaign with a 24-4 record.  Her 108-21 career singles record makes her just the second player in school history to break the century mark in singles wins.  Clark also teamed with freshman Michelle Satterfield to reach the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championships, marking the fourth-straight season she has advanced at least to the doubles semifinals.  Clark was 25-9 overall in doubles action during the year, and ended her career with a 111-34 doubles ledger, the most victories in the program’s history.  Against Division III opposition during the season, she was 19-0 in singles matches and 17-3 in doubles contests, ending her career with records of 87-7 in singles (.926 winning percentage) and 87-17 in doubles (.837 winning percentage) against D-III opponents.  Her 219 career combined victories overall match former Eagle Mary Ellen Gordon for the most in the program’s history.  She was named the NCAA Division III Senior Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), becoming just the second Eagle ever to win the award.  Clark was also named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Most Valuable Player for the third time in her career, and claimed first team honors at first singles and doubles, after going undefeated in three matches during the weekend.  Highlights from her regular season include a win over Columbus State’s Paola Cigui, who was previously undefeated and ended the season ranked third in Division II.  She was named the UAA Athlete of the Week on four occasions during the season, and ended her career with 17 UAA Athlete of the Week awards.  

Junior (2012-13):

Clark continued to cement her position as one of the top players in the program’s history during her junior campaign, winning both the singles and doubles draws at the 2013 ITA Small College Nationals to become just the second Eagle in the program’s history to capture the title in both draws.  In addition, was the first Eagle since 2003 to win the ITA Division III Singles Draw, accomplishing the feat for the fourth time overall in the program’s history.  Teaming with freshman Emma Taylor in the doubles draw, the duo became the third winning pair in Emory history.  In the spring, Clark was named the University Athletic Association’s (UAA) Most Valuable Player for the second time in her career, becoming the third Eagle and fifth player in the conference’s history to win the award multiple times.  The junior was also selected to the all-UAA First Team for her play at first singles and first doubles.  At the 2013 NCAA Division III Individual Championships, Clark reached the semifinals of both the singles and doubles draw (teaming with freshman Annette Sullivan), earning all-America honors for both her singles and doubles play for the third-straight season.  In the final ITA National Poll, Clark was third in the singles rankings and fourth with Sullivan in the doubles rankings.  She also was the top-ranked singles player in the Atlantic South Region and ranked second in the region in doubles.  During the course of the season, Clark was selected as the UAA Athlete of the Week on six occasions.  She finished the year with an overall singles record of 30-7, matching the second-most victories in a single season in Emory history, while her 28-7 doubles record was tied for the 11^th-most wins by an Eagle in a season.  She was 24-2 in singles matches and 22-4 in doubles contests against Division III opposition in 2012-13, improving to 68-7 in singles play and 70-14 in doubles action against Division III players during her career.  Clark ended her junior season with 84 career singles wins, the third most in school history, and 31 behind the program record.  Her 86 career doubles wins are the fifth-most in school history, and 19 behind the school record.

Sophomore (2011-12):

Clark became the first African-American woman to win an NCAA Singles Championship at any level (Division I, II or III), when she claimed a 6-2, 7-6 (1) victory over Lok Sze Leung in the championship match.  It marked the fourth NCAA Singles Championship won by an Emory women's tennis player, as Clark joined former Eagles Mary Ellen Gordon (2003 and 2004) and Lorne McManigle (2009) as National Champions.  In addition, with Emory's Dillon Pottish winning the singles title on the men's side, it marked just the fourth time in NCAA Division III history that the men's and women's singles champions have come from the same school.  Clark ended her season on an 11-match singles winning streak, including a perfect 10-0 record during the NCAA Tournament.  She also teamed with Zahra Dawson to finish second in the doubles draw at the NCAA Championships, falling to Laura Danzig and Gabby Devlin of Amherst College in three sets in the title match.  Clark earned all-America status for both singles and doubles play during the spring, after also claiming all-America honors in the fall by winning the ITA Regional singles and doubles draw.  After finished second in the Division III singles draw at the ITA Small College Nationals, she joined with Dawson to become just the second Emory pairing to win the doubles draw, advancing to the 'Super Bowl' before falling to the NAIA-winning pair from Oklahoma Christian College.  Clark finished the season with a 27-4 record in singles play, including a 26-3 record against Division III opponents, and a 29-8 mark in doubles action, including a 26-3 mark against Division III foes.  After her sophomore year, she holds a 54-10 career mark in singles play (the 20th-most victories and fifth-best winning percentage in Emory history) and a 58-18 doubles ledger (the 20th-most victories and 11th-best winning percentage in the program's history).  She was named the UAA's Athlete of the Week on four occassions during the year - September 26th, October 17th, March 26th and May 29th.

Freshman (2010-11):

Clark was named an all-America for both her singles and doubles play during her freshman season, finishing the year ranked second nationally and first regionally for both singles and doubles.  She was also named the ITA NCAA Division III Rookie of the Year, becoming just the third player to earn the honor in the program's history, joining former Eagles Mary Ellen Gordon (2001) and Jolyn Taylor (2003).  Clark completed her inaugural collegiate campaign with a record of 27-6 in singles play, with her only losses to NCAA Division III opponents coming against teammate Zahra Dawson during the Fall ITA Regional Tournament finals and to Williams’ Kristin Alotta in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championships.  In doubles play during the season, Clark compiled a 29-10 record, including a mark of 19-5 with Lorne McManigle, who she teamed with to finish second in the NCAA Doubles draw.  She was named the University Athletic Association’s (UAA) Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year, becoming the third player in conference history to earn both honors in the same season along with Gordon and the University of Chicago's Kendra Higgins.  Clark was 18-2 during the year against other ranked Division III players, including a mark of 5-0 against opponents ranked in the top-five.  She was named the UAA Athlete of the Week on March 7th, March 28th, April 4th and May 31st.
