Emory University sophomore Michelle Satterfield led the top-ranked Eagles to three wins on Sunday afternoon. Satterfield, ranked 20th in singles play in the Atlantic South Region, started her day with a three-set win over Millsaps’ Deena Li Kam Wa (ranked 10th in the region) in the first singles match, 6-3, 4-6, 10-8, helping the Eagles to an 8-1 win. In the team’s second match of the day, a 9-0 win against Agnes Scott College, she earned an 8-0 victory at first doubles with partner Bridget Harding. In the final match of the day, a 9-0 Emory win over Oglethorpe University, she teamed with Harding again to win 8-1 at first doubles, and claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles. After going undefeated during the weekend, Satterfield improved to 3-2 in singles matches and to 6-3 in doubles contests this year. Her efforts have helped Emory open the year with a 4-1 record.
