Freshman Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico and senior Bridget Harding secured berths in the ITA Oracle Cup Division III Singles and Doubles championship matches following victories Friday afternoon at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, GA.

Championship Saturday will feature a pair of Emory vs. Wesleyan matchups, beginning at 8:30 AM with the singles final. Gonzalez-Rico, the No.-3 seed in the draw, will face the No.-1 seed and three-time NCAA singles champion Eudice Chong. Later in the afternoon at 1:00 PM, Harding and Gonzalez-Rico square off against reigning NCAA doubles champs Chong and Victoria Yu in the title match.

Gonzalez-Rico advanced to the singles final with a 6-2, 6-0 win over the No.-2 seed Catherine Allen from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. In the doubles semifinals, Harding and Gonzalez-Rico had to battle back from one set down to reach the championship match, earning the come-from-behind 5-7, 6-3, 10-5 triumph over Pomona-Pitzer's Zhao/Chen.

The winner of Saturday's singles final will automatically qualify for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Palm Desert, California against Division I winners. The doubles champion will play again at 5:00 PM on Saturday against the Division II, NAIA and JUCO winners for a chance to qualify for Palm Desert.
