The top-ranked and top-seeded Emory University Women's Tennis team tries for its seventh consecutive and 30th overall University Athletic Association title as the 32nd UAA Championships begin on Thursday in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

The Eagles (14-3) begin their title defense on Thursday morning, facing eighth-seeded University of Rochester (7-8) at 8:30 AM. The winner of the first round match will face either fourth-seeded and 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University (15-6) or fifth-seeded and 20th-ranked New York University (8-1) on Friday in the semifinals.

On the other side of the bracket, 14th-ranked Brandeis University (11-5) will face 33rd-ranked Case Western Reserve University (7-9) in a matchup of the No.-2 and No.-7 seeds with 11th-ranked Chicago (12-4) taking on 15th-ranked Washington University (11-10) in the No.-3 and No.-6 seed match.

The semifinal matches will both be held at 12:30 PM on Friday with the championship match to be played at 8:30 AM Saturday morning.

At last year's UAA Championships, Emory blanked Rochester and WashU, 9-0, before defeating Chicago by a 7-2 margin in the championship match. Sophomore Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico highlighted six Eagles on the All-Tournament team as she was tabbed as the tournament MVP.
