Emory University women's tennis team members senior Daniela Lopez, sophomore Defne Olcay and assistant coach Barbora Krtickova were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday with Atlantic South Regional Awards as announced via press release by organization.

Lopez was named the Atlantic South Senior Player of the Year after reaching the 20-win mark in singles for the second time in her career. So far this season, Lopez ranks fourth on the squad with 20 singles victories, going 20-6 overall and is 10-3 during the spring. In addition, she has compiled a doubles record of 24-7 playing with freshmen Jessica Fatemi and Emma Cartledge.

Olcay was honored by the ITA by being named the Atlantic South's Player to Watch. During her sophomore season, Olcay is fifth on the team with 17 singles victories (17-12) and is 22-11 in doubles competition including a 14-6 record with sophomore Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico at the No.-1 doubles position.

Krtickova joins Lopez and Olcay as Atlantic South honorees as she was tabbed the region's Assistant Coach of the Year for the first time since joining the coaching staff full time in the summer of 2016. This season, Krtickova has helped the Eagles to a 19-3 overall record, a No.-1 ranking in the ITA national team rankings, the team's seventh straight UAA title and a trip to the program's 12^th consecutive NCAA quarterfinals.

The final rounds of the NCAA tournament is set to begin on Monday, May 20^th as Emory faces the University of Chicago in the round of eight. At the conclusion of the team championship, Lopez and Olcay will continue their postseason competition as they represent the Eagles at the individual championships from May 23^rd-25^th at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, MI.
