Shulman and Ye Take Home ITA Regional Awards

Senior Stephanie Shulman and assistant coach Kevin Ye were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Wednesday afternoon earning the Most Improved Senior Award and Assistant Coach of the Year Award respectively for the Atlantic region.

Shulman becomes the third women's tennis student-athlete to earn the honor following Stephanie Taylor in 2021 while Ye becomes the sixth assistant coach at Emory to garner the award. Current head coach Bridget Disher took home the award the previous season.

Shulman became one of the most impressive singles competitors this season taking 16 wins to finish second on the team. She held a 4-2 record in doubles but turned her focus to singles earning her a spot in the NCAA Individual Championships this season. In the Round of 32, Shulman had to withdraw due to injury ending her season. She holds a 38-23 all-time record in singles in just three seasons.

Ye helped lead the Eagles to a semifinal bid this season after finishing the regular season with a 14-7 record. He also helped the doubles tandem of junior Ana Cristina Perez and freshman Emily Kantrovitz to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Individual Championships.
