Full Men's Results | Full Women's Results

The Emory University Track and Field team sent a small group of four competitors to Tufts University Saturday in a final effort to improve their marks prior to the NCAA Championships next weekend in Winston-Salem, NC.

For the women, junior Laura Sheckter claimed an event win in the Shot Put, while fellow junior Rebekah Bondi finished as the runner-up in the Long Jump. Sheckter improved upon her Emory Shot Put record, as she turned in a 13.91m effort, which is the ninth-best mark recorded in DIII competition this year. In the Long Jump, Bondi stretched the tape to a distance of 5.47m, which is a tenth of a meter shy of her season best. That mark was set at the UAA Indoor Championships last week and gives her a standing of 25th on the DIII 2020 Indoor Performance List.

On the men's side, junior Liam Fost participated in the 400m Dash, and sophomore Spencer Moore ran the 1 Mile. Fost raced his 400m Dash in a time of 50.26 and ended up in second place in the event. Finishing in seventh-place, Moore produced a 1 Mile time of 4:21.24, which is a personal record for the distance runner.

The NCAA Indoor Championships are set to take place March 13th and 14th at the JDL FastTrack in Winston-Salem, NC. Stay tuned to emoryathletics.com this week for more information regarding the upcoming NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
