Women's DIII All-Academic Athletes
Earlier this summer, the Emory University men’s and women’s track and field programs garnered NCAA Division III All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2020 season.
The Eagles, under Head Coach Linh Nguyen, posted team grade-point averages above the nation’s average with the men’s team submitting a team GPA of 3.62 and the women’s squad turning in a team collective GPA of 3.59. In order to be considered for the award, the cumulative team GPA of all student-athletes must be at least a 3.10.
In addition to both teams earning All-Academic honors, Emory saw three student-athletes named to the Individual All-Academic Team. Individuals must hold a 3.30 minimum GPA and finished the season nationally ranked in the top-50 in an individual event and/or as a member of a top-35 relay team to be named an All-Academic Athlete.
Highlighting the individual selections were 2020 Indoor All-Americans Rebekah Bondi (Business Administration) and Isabel Saridakis (Applied Mathematics and Statistics). And joining both was senior Amy Hunter (Psychology and Linguistics).
