Emory University track and field member Lauren Cunild was selected as the University Athletic Association Women's Track Athlete of the Week as announced Monday afternoon. It is the first career weekly honor for the junior.

Cunild posted a season-best time in 800m Run (2:15.89) before running the second leg of the 4x400m Relay, helping the group of Cunild, Hannah Lansberry, Michelle Rosenblum and Claire Evans turn in a season-best time of 4:07.00 at the UAB Spring Invitational on Saturday. Cunild now ranks 6th nationally in the 800m Run while the 4x400 ranks 25th among DIII teams.

The Eagles return to action this weekend with a pair of meets next weekend with the Flames Invitational at Lee University and the Berry Field Day Invitational.
