Emory University track & field senior Rebekah Bondi was recognized as the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for her performance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships last week in Greensboro, NC. It is her fifth career weekly honor and fourth for this season.
Bondi collected two All-America honors at the meet, bringing her career total to five. On Thursday evening, she came in sixth place in the long jump at 5.63m before rounding out the meet with a fifth place finish in the 100m Dash (12.09 in the finals, 11.95 in prelims for a new PR) on Saturday. Both All-America finishes were the first of her career for outdoor competition. She also competed in the 4x100m relay as the Eagles finished 10th overall with a time of 47.88.
The Eagles women's team finished tied for 17th at the meet with 13 team points.
