Bondi Collects All-America Honors in 100m Dash on Final Day of NCAA Championships

Members of the Emory University track & field team rounded out the NCAA Division III outdoor championships Saturday afternoon with Rebekah Bondi reaching the podium for the Eagles. The meet was hosted by North Carolina A&T at the Irwin Belk track complex in Greensboro, NC.

Bondi headlined three Emory performers in action on the final day of competition as she placed fifth overall in the finals of the 100m dash. Bondi took fifth with a finals time of 12.09. It is the first time she has reached the podium in her career in the event and the second time this week after earning All-America honors in the long jump on Thursday.

Annika Urban and Jack Whetstone closed out competition for the Eagles as they both ran in the finals of the 5000m Run. Urban placed 11th out of 19 runners with a time of 17:15.19 while Whetstone was 14th in the field of 17 with his time of 14:53.30.
