Junior Hope Jackson, competing in the discus event, recorded a distance of 40.45m at the Emory Thrills in the Hills Open for a second place finish. Hope's mark of 40.45m now sits as the ninth farthest distance in program history and sees her with the ninth best distance from any individual so far this season according to TFRRS. Jackson also competed in the shot put where her distance of 11.01m sees her in fifth in the UAA in the event.
