Freshman middle Madison Cail helped the No. 5-ranked Emory volleyball team to a 4-0 week.

The 6-foot Cail saw action in all 18 sets and averaged 1.44 kills per game while hitting .243 (26-9--70). In addition, she averaged a team-leading 0.94 blocks per set.

After totaling five blocks and tying for match honors with five (1-4) total blocks in a five-set win over NCAA D-II member West Georgia, Cail turned in a solid effort at the UAA Round Robin I, hitting .259 (22-7--58) and pacing the club with a mark of 0.92 blocks per set. She posted six kills and led all players with five (0-5) blocks in a 3-2 verdict over Case Western Reserve in the Round Robin opener, and then aided in a five-set triumph over Carnegie Mellon, chalking up a season-best 11 terminations, hitting .476 (11-1--21), and team-leading five (1-4) blocks.
