Senior Gabrielle Stravach helped the Emory women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the UAA Championships.
Stravach paced the Emory contingent, crossing the finish line in the No. 2 overall position out of 76 runners with a 6k time of 23:14. It represented the fifth straight race this season and 12th since the 2016 campaign that she ranked as the squad's top runner. Stravach's effort enabled her to land First Team All-UAA honors, Emory's first such honoree since 2014 (Tamara Surtees).
Emory returns to action on Saturday, November 11, when it travels to Newport News, Va., to compete in the NCAA South/Southeast Championships.
