Senior Kaylee Slade helped the 25th-ranked Emory women's cross country team to a win at the season-opening Watermelon Run.

Slade topped a 40-runner field with a 6K time of 23:23. Her performance helped the Eagles capture seven of the top eight overall finishers.

Emory finished with 17 points while host Berry College had 46 points.
