Taylor Leone and Claire Brock Recognized as UAA Athletes of the Week

Emory University senior Taylor Leone and junior Claire Brock were recognized as University Athletic Association Athletes of the Week as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Brock led the Eagles in scoring in both games as Emory secured a big UAA weekend sweep against Washington University and the University of Chicago. Brock totaled 29 points across the two games while shooting 44.4% from the field. She sank four three pointers, went 9-for-10 from the line (7-for-8 combined in the fourth quarter), grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals. Brock has now scored in double figures in eight consecutive games and is averaging 15.0 PPG (third in UAA) this season.

Leone was part of three event wins as Emory defeated Centre College Saturday afternoon on Senior Day. Leone was a solo winner in the 50 Freestyle (24.11) and aided in two relay wins: 200 Mixed Medley (1:38.34) and 200 Freestyle (1:38.17).

This marks the second weekly honor for Brock this season as well as her second of her career while this is the first-ever weekly honor for Leone.
