The Emory Athletics Weekly Preview for February 1st - 6th. This preview is to serve as a weekly snapshot of all upcoming Emory athletic events for the coming week.

Men's Basketball:

After a 2-0 weekend at home moved the Eagles into sole possession of first place in the conference, the No. 20 ranked Emory University men's basketball team will take to the road this week in hopes of extending their current five-game win streak. The Eagles (13-4, 6-1) travel to Waltham, MA for their second matchup of the season with the Brandeis Judges (9-4, 2-2) on Friday before making the trek to New York City on Sunday for their contest against the NYU Violets (9-7, 0-6). With the Eagles defeating the Judges this past weekend 83-75 they moved their all-time record against Brandeis to 37-30. The Eagles 104-82 victory over NYU moved the all-time series record to 32-36 in favor of the Violets. Senior Matthew Schner moved his scoring average for the five-game win streak to 23 points per game. Meanwhile, fellow senior Nick Stuck continues his impressive campaign as he put up his first ever double-double against NYU with 20 points and 10 assists and has had 6 or more assists in each of the last five games.

Women's Basketball:

After a 1-1 weekend at home, the Emory University women's basketball team will hit the road for rematches against both of their opponents from this past weekend. On Friday, the Eagles (11-5, 5-2) will be in Waltham, MA for their game against the Brandeis Judges (6-10, 1-6) before traveling to New York City to take on No. 10 ranked NYU (15-1, 6-1). With their win over the Judges on Friday, the Eagles moved to 37-27 all-time against Brandeis. The Eagles dropped to 20-44 all-time against NYU with their loss on Sunday. To this point in the season, junior Claire Brock leads the UAA in FT% (89.7), second in PPG (15.1) and third in 3PT% (39%) as she has been dominant for the Eagles all season.

Indoor Track & Field:

After one of their best weekends of the year at the South Carolina Invitational, the Emory University indoor track & field team will travel to Winston-Salem, NC this weekend for the Camel City Elite meet. In Columbus, SC the Eagles had multiple standout athletes. For the men, sophomore Spencer Watry set the new program indoor record for the mile run with a time of 4:11.51 while fellow sophomore Kenya Sei set the sixth farthest distance in Eagles history in the weight throw event with a distance of 14.96m. For the women, senior Bella Racette was superb setting the 10th best time in program indoor history in the 3000m run with a time of 10:15.68 while freshman Sarah Fineman excelled on the field setting a new PR in the shot put event with a distance of 11.49m.

Swimming & Diving:

After competing in Athens against the University of Georgia in their last dual meet of the season, the Emory University swimming & diving team will travel to Auburn, AL for the Auburn First-Chance Invitational which marks their last regular season meet of the year. The Eagles had multiple athletes impress in Athens against their D-I competition. For the men, senior Jason Hamilton came through with a B cut in the 200 breaststroke as he finished in third with a time of 2:04.05 and freshman Dylan Yin earned a B cut of his own in the 100 Fly with a season-best time of 48.97. For the women, sophomore Megan Jungers had the top finishes for the Eagles in the 200 Backstroke (2:05.48) and 100 Fly (56.97) while freshman Ariana Khan topped the Emory divers in the 3-meter event with a score of 257.55.
