Junior (2011):

Orlovsky was third on the Emory pitching staff during the season with 17 appearances, all out of the bullpen.  He was 1-0 on the season with a 4.82 earned run average, while striking out 10 batters in 18.2 innings pitched.  Orlovsky held his opponents scoreless in 10 of his seven appearances, including nine of his last 11 outings and eight-straight from  March 23rd through April 9th.  He pitched two perfect innings against Brandeis University on March 12th, striking out one batter.  Orlovsky's first win as an Eagle came on March 30th against Birmingham-Southern College, as he held the Panthers scoreless on a walk and two hits over one inning pitched.

Transferred from Piedmont College, where he played on the baseball team for two seasons... Made four appearances for the Lions, allowing one run over four innings pitched... Helped his team to the NCAA Regionals and a conference championship in 2008... Played on the Moon Area High School baseball team for four seasons... Named his team's rookie of the year in 2006... Helped the squad to the WPIAL and State Semifinals in 2006... Coached by Dom Santeufemio in high school... Also played football.
